MOBILE COMMAND VEHICLE update

On Friday, February 2, 2024, Charlie’s Vision will be formally presenting the Mobile Command Vehicle to the Mason County Sheriff's Office.  Our presentation will take place during an event being held by the Sheriff's Office to officially dedicate their new North Precinct facility located at 460 NE Old Belfair Highway, Belfair, WA 98528. The event will take place from 11 am to 2 pm. 

We want to, again, express our gratitude to all who have supported our efforts to provide this much needed equipment and would be honored if you can be in attendance at this event.

Charlie’s Vision’s Board of Directors is excited to announce that we have now purchased and taken delivery of our mobile command vehicle. We want to extend our gratitude to all the donors who helped us reach this important milestone. We couldn’t have accomplished this without the support of our community. 

The final phase of this project will entail supplying the vehicle with additional needed items, including radio equipment, etc. To ensure the vehicle is fully equipped and ready for use, we will be continuing our fundraising efforts during this phase of the project.

Once this final phase is completed, we intend to arrange a public event during which a formal presentation of the vehicle will be made to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office.

Charlie's Vision is excited to announce that we have launched a fundraising campaign for the purpose of purchasing a Command Vehicle for the Mason County Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's office has identified the need for this vital piece of equipment that will function as a multipurpose command unit and will have the ability to be utilized anywhere in the county. 

It will act as a central hub for communications during critical incidents such as crime scene investigations, long-term surveillance, and search and rescue operations. It will be available to provide a base for security operations at large scale events.

Importantly, it will provide a safe, secure environment, stocked with emergency supplies, where Sheriff’s Office personnel will have immediate access to electricity, stored tactical equipment, command staff meeting space, audio and video conferencing capabilities, high-speed computer and internet connections, etc.

We are seeking donations from individuals as well as local businesses and organizations within our community to reach our fundraising goal of $100,000.00.
